Wishing all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
While New England is dreaming of a white Christmas with frosty snowmen and sleigh bells, I’m reminded of what this season is really all about. Spending time with family, praying for peace, and giving to those who are less fortunate.
As 2015 draws to a close, I reflect back on my heartbreaking and challenging year. The loss of my Dad has been immeasurably hard on my family, and the void I feel weights heavy on my heart everyday. But now I’m doing what he was so happy about. With family blessings I took a leap of faith, left my job and became a FT writer, following my childhood dream. With the support of my amazing husband (who recently bounced back from knee surgery like a true warrior) and family, I write with Dad. Everyday. We talk about my book and scenes I need help with. Then the pages jump to life. There is laughter and tears, but most of all there is comfort in the wonderful memories.
I wish you a blessed 2016 filled with love, peace and precious time with family.
And never forget to pay it forward. Buy a cup of coffee for that elderly couple behind you in the coffee shop line.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
